Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.

“Reflections From Infinite Mind”
Oneness
With God … p 46

Consider these first few lines of the Lord’s Prayer:

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done …”

With these few words spoken by Jesus, we are given the key to knowing the one thing in life that will give us happiness and peace of mind: That of knowing ourself — our true inner spiritual Being. In them, we are called to:
  • Acknowledge God
  • Acknowledge His divine nature
  • Ask God to come into our life that we may be conscious of His presence
  • Surrender our own mortal willfulness to that of God’s — His alone
The process of coming to know ourself has naught to do with mortal mind. It has to do with the spiritual transformation of mind to a higher place, a oneness with God. The act of knowing ourself is co-dependent with that of knowing that God lives in us and we in Him.
