Salvation ...

The Peace we O so long for
Is ours alone to win
Be still, be still, and look within.

‘Tis truth that gives us moorage
Faith in God a place to stand
The soul unveiled now lights our way
To selfless love, which saves the day.

“Be still, be still, and look within. “

“Now I have to learn to think carefully about things before I respond,” said my very dear friend, and “learn to focus on what I want – not what others want”.

Without thinking, she’d quickly said ‘yes’ in two separate situations.  One with her daughter and the other with her sister… “then the dis-ease started”.  She went over everything trying to figure out what was bothering her.  She said, “fortunately everything settled in my mind last night (with God’s help, of course)”  First thing the next morning she set things straight….  “And I feel better.”   blw

Overcoming Self-doubt ...

Self-doubt is a state of mind inhibiting our ability to become the person we are meant to be; a blight to be got rid of.

We begin by acknowledging we are each one of us God’s child, possessed of His goodness and love. Giving thanks to God throughout the day, in time, frees us from thoughts holding us down; thoughts if allowed to take hold in the mind shatter our self-confidence while at once reinforcing self-doubt.

Being ever mindful of God is transformative: We become a new person, always looking for the good in others while giving freely of ourself with love.

“Self-doubt is a state of mind… . “

A bursary from the *FCJ Centre assisted my friend in attending their weekend workshop, “The Enneagram: Nine Ways of Relating”… (learning ‘why’ we often get caught in the same old patterns and ‘how’ we might come into balance and freedom through understanding…).  My friend learned what nourishes her soul and what causes her self-doubt.  Armed with this knowledge she is spiritually empowered to overcome her self-doubt!  We enjoyed much sharing!  blw

Mystic Intuition ...

Deep within us, yet ever at hand, lies an intuitive “sixth sense”, an expression of our divine spirituality.  When listened to, we are enabled to look beyond life’s physical reality and, in all humility, find the goodness in others.  It is a wondrous experience that both engenders compassion and frees us from the human propensity to judge.  In conversation with another we learn to hear what is being said while at once listening for that which is unsaid.  Two souls are forever uplifted.

“…, an expression of our divine spirituality … listening for that which is unsaid.“

Yesterday’s visit was one of being invited to share in my friend’s sacred First Nation’s spirituality and Christianity.  I heard what was said, profoundly felt the unsaid, and witnessed a love for both.  I was blessed.  (Week three of my friend’s spiritual journey of conscious transformation… ) blw

Truthfulness, Selflessness and Humility ...

Letting what goes on around us to pattern our behaviour is a violation of our sense of self.  Granted, we are by nature Social Beings, with a need to love and be loved.  First and foremost, however, we are highly individual, blessed with personal traits ours alone to treasure, to develop and to share with others.

Daily interaction with others is made easy when our thoughts, our speech and our behaviour reflect our true inner values; values freed from the nemesis of materialism.  Such values have only to be revealed, ever there to be taken up and used.  They have their genesis in Truthfulness, Selflessness and Humility, character traits which exalt our very soul.

“Daily interaction with others… reflect our true inner values … “

Week two of my friend’s spiritual journey of conscious transformation
Yesterday’s visit was centered on knowing her true inner values.  Her thoughts, interactions, and behaviour need to reflect these core beliefs.   As a result, she will be letting two friends know that money isn’t available for her to go on their annual holiday.  Already she feels empowered by following one of her true inner values.  blw
