"POWER BELONGS TO HIM WHO KNOWS"

IN FULL AWARENESS, become still and quiet the mind.  Look within and assess your worldly state.  Thus begins your quest to honour that age-old philosophical admonition: “Know Thyself.”

With your God-given will clear the mind of all thoughts such that mind, body and soul are in absolute repose and in perfect harmony.  Your entire being is now in the hands of God whose power alone aligns you spiritually with all of the forces of nature as part of the greater natural order:  You have become one with nature and with God.  Blissful inner peace overwhelms you, and with it a love for all of your fellow beings.  Ancient wisdom says: “Power belongs to him who knows.”

Mankind's Spiritual Relationship With Nature

NATURE is described as “the universe, with all its phenomena” and “the sum total of the forces at work throughout the universe.”  Mankind, to be sure, is an integral part of this wondrous phenomena of the greater natural order governing all things, seen and unseen.

The forces at work throughout the universe, no less earth’s atmosphere, may best be termed electrodynamics, i.e., the “interactions of electricity, magnetic and mechanical phenomena of the universe.”  In short, the whole of space is an electric field.  This is made only too apparent when we experience electrical storms, with the “luminous, electrical discharge” of lightning.

From a time leading out of dim antiquity we have ever sought our place in the grand scheme of things; hence our early study and worship as gods of the moon, the sun and the stars.  Over time allegory and mythology used to define our place in the universe were replaced by laws of science, especially those of geometry, mathematics, astronomy and architecture.

Evidence abounds throughout mankind’s long and ofttimes sordid history, no less so today, such that every race and every culture acknowledged a spiritual relationship with the forces of nature, known to many for some two thousand years as “God.”

That we are connected to nature as part of the greater natural order is indisputable.  Witness the make-up of the human body with its untold millions of cells and atoms within cells, all electrically charged and in constant motion.  Connected though we may be, we too often fail to recognize and to act upon our intimate relationship with nature, hence with God, only to do ourselves grave injustice.

Mankind’s spiritual relationship with nature, it must be recognized, went hand in hand with our darker nature.  This latter human trait ultimately won out and gave rise to the expression: “Man’s inhumanity to man knows no bounds.”

What with its age-old suppression of the soul in favour of materialism, mankind as a whole has forfeited its right to reawaken an awareness of the soul and of our innate spirituality.  Instead, such a task has become highly personal-one for each of us to undertake.  Only then do we have the opportunity to at once become one with nature and with God.

Our task, which soon becomes a joyous lifelong journey, is one of discovering the inner self.  We have but to acknowledge God’s goodness within us as our very birthright, to love God with all our heart, with all our soul and with all our strength, and, finally, to love our neighbour as ourself, all the while knowing that God is within and everywhere around us.
In coming to know God we must work our will to quiet the turmoil of the mind, allowing the long-concealed soul to emerge and with it our entire being enveloped in an aura of spiritual light.

GOD IS OUR SOUL

God is our soul:  He is within and everywhere around us. This certain knowledge of God’s presence is based upon faith made real when we embrace God’s goodness in all that we do.  And in the doing, we hunger to come ever closer to God.  We want to feel His presence, to all but touch Him.

Through faith we become one with God and, as a result, one with our fellow-man, doing unto others as we would have them do unto us.

We pray and give thanks to God with ever-growing kinship: His light within a suffusion of all-encompassing love and goodness; our spirituality His.  No longer is it we, it is God treading the earth through us.  His will obtains in all that we think and do.  We cannot see God, although we visualize Him as the light within.  Our prayers to God have become those of God, our whole being entrusted to His care.

A JOURNEY THAT WILL SET YOU FREE...

Fear not to go within in search of the real you. It will come at a low point in your life when you are at a loss, not knowing where to turn. It is precisely this combination of events that will enable, nay, even compel you to make this journey. And it is one that will set you free.

Discovery of one's own self is not an intellectual exercise, something to be reasoned in the mind. By its very nature, it is a spiritual revelation; one that reveals our primary purpose in life, that of coming to know God.

Though the journey may be lifelong, we soon come to know a quieting of the mind coupled with a sense of inner peace. Even more, we learn to love our self and we become enlightened with the knowledge that we can do no better than to love both God and our neighbour. Ever mindful of God's presence, we manifest His goodness and enrich the lives of others.

YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL

You are beautiful because of you: There are none other like you. You do, however, have one thing in common with all others--that of goodness. It is this ever-present God-given trait within you that is critical to your well-being. And, not least, it is that which unites us in our humanity.

Goodness, albeit a very real phenomenon, is ofttimes obscured by the circumstances of life. As such, it is not to be taken for granted. It's presence, both intellectually and spiritually, requires none other than a firm belief in your own goodness coupled with self-discipline to make it a conscious reality.

Anger and uncertainty in your life tend to obscure the goodness: you feel lost and alone in a turmoil of emotions that, left unchecked, pull you ever deeper into despair. By being honest with yourself and confronting that which gives rise to your unhappiness you at once quiet the mind and slow the beating of your heart, thus allowing rational thought to come into play. Only then can you begin the ascent to recover that wondrous sense of Elysian goodness; that which is your very birthright.

Goodness requires that you first love yourself. This in turn enables you to give freely of yourself to others, thus sustaining and enriching your life. Thus too is your beauty recognized.

THE CHOICES WE MAKE...

We are, each of us, blessed with the power of reason and its natural concomitant, will power.  Through reason we make choices for good or ill as they affect our life.  And, in accordance with our will, we act on them.

The choices we make as they relate to our day-to-day activities and our physical well-being are apparent to all, a manifestation of outward appearances all to often belying the truth.  Be that as it may, attendance to worldly matters pales beside the need to acknowledge and to come to terms with our own oft-neglected spirituality.

If ever we are to know peace within, to be certain of the path we walk, we must consciously quiet the turmoil of the mind to allow the soul to emerge and play its proper role in our life.  This involves no less than a choice to be made in accordance with rational thought, while at once exercising our will to act on it.  Thus may we come into the presence of God such that our spiritual awareness manifests His goodness; hence, our overall well-being.

Quest for Truth...

IN OUR UNRELENTING QUEST FOR TRUTH...relative to the human condition, we consider the matter of OUR SOUL interacting with a morally spiritual realm in the universe, that is to say, with GOD.

FAITH, no less EXPERIENCE, leads us to know GOD is within and everywhere around us.  That GOD IS OUR SOUL, the very essence of life, is known to all who BELIEVE.

The ever-present AURA emanating from each one of us, revealing our true identity, is but the sensory, at times visible, soul: A soul at one with nature.

There can be no doubt that we have the capacity to commune with GOD, with each breath we draw and with our very thought.  We have but to call upon our own God-given goodness and to act on that goodness.

DEATH is but the release of the soul, a spiritual renaissance or rebirth; something to HONOUR.
